Chef Kelly Yorke - chef owner of, A House Call Chef, has had a successful career working as a Food & Beverage Professional and Corporate Executive Chef for the past twenty-five years, within the hotel, restaurant, catering & hospitality Industries.

She has a degree in The Culinary Arts from the highly esteemed, Culinary Institute of America, and a degree in, Hotel & Restaurant Management, from The University of New Haven.  She also attended, The University of Maryland, for a degree in Dietetics.  Most recently,  and prior to starting up her personal chef business, Chef Yorke spent  twelve years as the Corporate Executive Chef for Midwest Airlines Inc., an award winning Domestic Airline which had been ranked during her tenure there as, "The Best Airline in the US", and "The Fourth Best Airline in the World", by Conde Nast Magazine, Business Traveler Magazine, and The Zagot Survey - just to name a few. Chef Yorke was responsible for designing and developing the menus and beverage programs for the airline's in-flight meal service program.

The tragedy of Sept. 11, 2001 struck the airline industry particularly hard.  And it still continues to struggle in it's attempts to absorb the cost of providing customers with comforts and amenities - while also being taxed with the unprecedented costs of increasing security and rising fuel prices.  And since safety is always the up most priority, airliners were ultimately forced into making massive reductions in non-essential amenities - such as meal services, just to afford to stay in business.  Unfortunately what this meant for Chef Yorke was that her job, and her division, were eventually eliminated, and her chosen vocation dissolved into the reminiscent service offerings of yesteryear.

But chef Yorke is not about to be defeated by unfortunate circumstances.  She rebounded by  starting her own Personal Chef Business, which allows her to continue to do what she loves - to apply her creative and technical skills to provide others with an enjoyable dining experience.

Chef Yorke has extensive experience in menu design and development, recipe writing, and project management - all of which are just the right talents to give her clients the up most best, of culinary care and service.

Chef Yorke resides in the rocky mountain foothills of Colorado, with her husband, two horses, and two cats.  She enjoys horseback riding, playing her guitar, running, hiking, and skiing, in her free time.  Chef Yorke is a member of the American Personal Chef Association and The American Culinary Federation.
